Miles away into the unknown

One place that I would love to go is Australia, it has always caught my eye since I was a child and my favorite animal was the Kangaroo. When the years passed I become more and more interested in it and I did some research about some specific places there, of course one of them was Sydney, but I investigated little more and there are some amazing places like Perth, a small city of surfers and some of the best beaches on earth, now it’s become very popular to serve on Filming locations, and show the best of the best about surfing. Another city would be Melbourne; it has now become a Mecca of the culinary world, with some of the top chef’s in the world like Stephanie Alexander, Bill Granger, etc. and some of the great shows that we can now enjoy like “Master Chef Australia”, “Junior Master Chef”, “Surfing the menu” and many others.
As you can see this place has become more and more interesting, and one of the best exotic places, with its unique architectural and natural icons, and a culture mixed with the traditions of the aborigines and settlers, as well as a connection point to different cultures in Asia.
It is certainly a place in my bucket list, maybe to go for all summer and work there, and learn to live as relaxed as them going every day at the beach and seize the moment and what a beautiful place has to offer me.

Holiday in the Caribbean

One of my favorite trips was one I made when I was ten years old; we planned a trip to the Dominican Republic. It was my second flight ever so I was really excited about it (besides I was skipping school for a few days so what could be better jaja). I travelled along with my family when we were still 4 in it; we had a very good surprise when we got to the airport as we found out we had been moved to first class so my sister and I were spoiled the entire trip and we even got to see the captain’s cabin, he talked to us about his work and family and we got to see the best view of the sky from the plane, that’s definitely a memory I will never forget.

As soon as we landed the heat of the island hit us on the face because we weren’t used to it. We stayed at the Bávaro Palace Resort which was one of the biggest in the island and had lots of things to do for kids; I actually won diplomas at several sports like water polo volleyball and many more. One night I even did sing on stage like Shakira. It was a magical place; the sand and the water were perfect and crystal.

I think one of the best things here for my sister and I was that we made friends from all over the world, we had friends from France, Poland, Uruguay, Argentina, España, USA, and so many more I can’t even remember, but we got to spend a perfect time as a family and it was an experience for life for me and one of the best stamps I could ever get on my passport.

I promise to upload a picture of it and the other one I still owe you, so I will fix the problem with my computer as soon as I can.

a picture to the past

A picture I love is one that my father took us on a summer trip to Frutillar. There are lots of things I love about this picture; the first would be all the colors and the flowers around the house we rented every time we went there. It was taken around the time I was ten years old and my two sisters, Camila and Antonia, were eight and the youngest one was only months, it’s really special because of that, as it was one of her first pictures and her first trip ever. I remember we travelled with my grandparents that time, as they always loved south of Chile. It brings so many memories to my mind because it is a place where I really got attached to, I remember the times we swam on the lake, hardly being able to walk because of all the rocks in the bottom and the water temperature, just trying to get to a little island that looked like an oasis to me then. I also remember there was a man who used to sell the best kuchen ever made, and my mom and I went there every single day to buy one for dinner dessert; but he also told us endless stories about his trips and when he first got to Chile, he could entertain us for hours.

I think I have hundreds of pictures about this place but I like this one the most because my sisters are in it and as a reminder of the beautiful days as a child, just enjoying the day and spending as much time with the people I love the most in one of the most beautiful places (to my opinion) Chile has to offer.
