the bucket list

When you have to think about what do you want to do before you die it’s hard to leave some things out I mean there’s the ambition and sadness that you might not get to do everything; but if I would have to choose 10 things the first one would be to travel around the world because I have always been in love with the idea of travelling and all the experiences you get, all the people you can meet. The second one would be riding an elephant, I’ve always admired those animals and how challenging and exotic they are, I think it would feel like I am on top of the world. The third thing would be swimming with dolphins because they are my favorite animals, and it’s been a dream since I was a child. The fourth one would be to fly a helicopter just for the feeling of feeling free. The fifth one would be sky diving, I’ve actually always been interested in extreme sports, I mean all the adrenalin at that moment and you are just diving into the unknown. The sixth thing would be to make a landmark in the world so people will remember me because of my profession and the passion that I put into it. The seventh thing would be to learn five languages because I’ve always been good at learning and speaking them, it’s been one of the dreams that I had since I was a child. The eighth thing is to create a clothing line, fashion has been a huge passion for me and I feel it also has to be a part of my life. The ninth thing is to open my own restaurant with my mom, so that way I can share more with her at something we both love. And finally the last thing and probably the most important are to create a family that loves as much as mine so I can share the rest of my days with them.
We don’t have a lot of time to enjoy and accomplish everything but I hope I can get to do at least half of the things I wrote, at least the most important to accomplish myself the best.

Concert memories

I haven’t got the chance to see many bands on live stage but I have been to 2 big concerts in my life, the first one was when I was about fifteen years old and it was very surprising because I was studding chemistry that day at a friend house in San Carlos de Apoquindo which was conveniently close to the San Carlos stadium where the concert was going to be the next day, and we finally decided jus to go there and try to sneak in to se the band, unfortunately for us we did not have any luck but it all happened so fast and we instantly found each other at the concert the next day as a gift from our parents. The concert was actually a music festival and the group we most wanted to see was Black Eyed Peas, but we had to wait for a really long time burning ourselves under the sun but it was worth waiting.

The other concert I went to was McFly which is a British group that I was very into a few years ago, it was at the Movistar Arena and it was very special because I waited for so long for them to get here and it was a very rewarding experience that I will always treasure.

As much as I haven’t got the chance to see many bands live I believe I’m vey lucky because I’ve had the chance to cheer to groups for a few years here, both groups are from friends and I go to see them and support them every time, the name of the bands are “Ellis Van Creveld”and “Spectral” and they play some covers and have a few songs of their own but they are a great group and they already had some success as they participated at the Pepsi music festival and got to finals; that was one of my favorite moments at a concert because I got to cheer a band I like and also be so happy for all my friends and how much that meant to them then.

A night out to dinner

I’m a huge fanatic of food and restaurants so I love trying new places and different types of food. If I had to pick my favorite one it would be one that’s on Parque Arauco’s boulevard, I don’t remember the name because I haven’t been there in several years but it’s a Japanese restaurant with a twist, the idea is that you sit at a big table and you have a private chef that cooks for you, and also make a show out of it, he makes tricks with the knifes and lift the food in the air; that’s actually one of the main reasons I love it and want to come back because it’s a place that has it all, good food, entertainment and a gorgeous decor.

There is another place I love but outside of Chile, in Mendoza a place called “El patio de Jesus Maria”, it is a beautiful concrete restaurant that is completely illuminated with different colors at night and specialize on meat, but I swear I don’t like meat and this place made me fall in love with it, it really is the best place you could ever eat meat so I highly recommend it.

I also have recently become a Turkish food lover as I went last week with some friends to a place in “Barrio República”, I don’t remember the name but I do remember what I ate jajaja, they have durum’s kebabs and falafels that literally melt your mouth, the durum is a wrap more like a gigantic burrito that has a lot of vegetables and meat that was cooked in a stick seasoned with a mixture of mayonnaise and yogurt, the kebab is very similar with the same ingredients only that it is wrap in a type of sandwich, and the falafel is a very tasty ball of mashed fried vegetables that anyone would love. This was very new to me but now it became one of my favorite foods so if anyone gets the chance to try it I can assure you you’ll love it!!!
